About the Journal
Aims & Scope
Clean Technology for Resource, Energy and Environment (CTREE) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal that provides a multidisciplinary platform for cutting-edge research and innovation in clean technologies that advance sustainable development across resource, energy, and environmental systems.
The journal aims to accelerate the global transition toward a low-carbon, resource-efficient, and environmentally resilient future by publishing high-quality studies on resource recovery, clean energy production and storage, environmental remediation, and integrated systems that address major global challenges such as climate change, pollution, and resource scarcity.
We welcome contributions that deepen fundamental understanding, enable technological breakthroughs, and demonstrate real-world applicability. Submissions from engineering, environmental science, chemistry, materials science, and circular economy research communities are encouraged.
Key areas of interest include (but are not limited to):
- Clean resource technologies: critical material recovery, waste valorization, clean mining, circular economy, and sustainable material development
- Clean and renewable energy systems: solar, wind, hydrogen, bioenergy, waste-to-energy, and carbon-neutral fuels
- Advanced materials for energy conversion, storage, and environmental applications
- Green catalysis and low-carbon process intensification
- Pollution control technologies: clean water, air, and soil treatment systems
- Integrated resource-energy-environment systems, including water-energy-waste nexus and eco-industrial parks
- Techno-economic, life-cycle, and policy analysis that inform clean technology deployment and sustainability transitions
Article types include original research articles, reviews, short communications, comments, and perspectives from both academia and industry. The journal encourages interdisciplinary collaboration and practical solutions aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).
